In this image we see the following objects for consideration:

2) A KING
3) A YOUNG MAN
4) A HAND EXTENDED FROM THE TREES, PRESENTING...
5) A SCROLL TO BE READ
The two busts perched upon the columns represent two men in history who were well known and have made a name for themselves. The bodyless arm/hand is presenting the written word from their [family trees] past. This image could have something to do with the writing of the bible, the king - King James of England, the young man, a scribe, the hand from the past - the history of biblical characters.

Heraldry: Pillar or Column = Fortitude and constancy - with serpent coiled around it, wisdom with fortitude
